Appreciation for JJW from the Polish Olympic Committee!
JJW has had a busy start to the Olympic Year 2010. The Polish Olympic Committee placed an order for
- sport socks, namely for Ski Deodorant and for universal Sport Deo socks.
Black and red (ski socks) as well as black and grey (universal) socks were worn by our best winter sport athletes.
Each competitor chooses his or her favourite model of socks for the event. It is no secret (even Associated Press
mentions it on its Vancouver 2010 webpage) that athletes are superstitious and may wear the same pair
of socks every time they compete.
JJW is a Polish company founded by Włodzimierz Lewin - an Olympian from Munich 1972 (in judo) -
and his partners. JJW produces innovative sport and health socks made of special yarn, including Coolmax,
Thermolite, Tactel, SeaCell, etc. Its products are available through a wide distribution network,
such as the Intersport network, pharmacies, and an authorized online store.
For a number of years specialist socks developed by Polish technologists and designers and manufactured
in a Polish factory have achieved recognition in many countries. They are exported to such countries as the Netherlands,
Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Israel, Russia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary.
The socks were worn during the Beijing Olympics and are currently being tested by experts in sports
equipment purchases from the Intersport Network in Germany. They have also aroused interest in Mexico,
and even in the United Arabic Emirates. And now it's time for them to ensure the comfort of the feet of
those whose performances make the whole of Poland hold its breath.
The importance of athletes' comfort at the start of the competition is not to be overestimated.
One of the ways the Polish Olympic Committee ensures this is by choosing the best sports equipment
for training sessions and for hard-fought competition in the sporting arena. And this is quite a task,
because nowadays the technology of sports equipment production has a touch of alchemy to it. Only
the 'adepts' know how certain fibres are produced or how the material should be cut so that it works
along with every movement of the athletes' muscles, making it possible to gain split-second advantages.
Because, after all, there is no better way to make sport popular than through good results
by the countries' representatives!
The JJW socks made of fibres which prevent sweating and overheating of the feet will play their own
part in promoting clean sport. Or at least odour-free sport! :)
